We booked Dave and his band, Element, nearly a year before our wedding. From the initial conversation, to the several talks we had leading up to it, Dave made sure that we were always at ease with the music aspect our big day. Considering that we were planning everything from out-of-state, peace of mind meant a lot!

The experience and passion, as well as the confidence in Element's quality, was what immediately sold us on Dave. He was always honest and straightforward when discussing plans with us. If we an idea for the evening that he liked, he was happy to help. Actually, we had a few ideas he didn't agree with. His experience told him that some things we were looking to do would not pan out well, so he politely suggested alternatives. He was right!

The reception was legendary! We had a pretty even mix of older family as well as our younger friends. The band had everyone up and dancing the whole time. The classics were tight and high-energy. Later on in the evening as the older adults started to run out of gas, the band stepped it up and played an unbelievable set of today's party music for our younger guests. It brought the house down!

We can say with confidence that this band rocks! The individual musicians are true talents and when they get together, the combination is simply unbelievable.

… You guys blew us away and we're so appreciative of that. Also, I spoke to some girl from NJ who you gave my number to. I told her that she's out of her mind if she chooses anyone else (don't worry, I'm trying not to be so blatant about it because I don't want people to think I'm lying). That said, don't hesitate to encourage others to call if you need a reference. It’s the least that we can do for you guys.

When my fiancé and I began looking for a wedding band in South Florida, we agreed that, like many couples, we didn't want a typical "wedding band". We were looking for a classy combination of music that was appropriate for the occasion and, at the same time, more commonly listened to by our younger audience. And since, we and our guests were traveling down from New York for the wedding, we were adamant about making sure that we had the right band to entertain. We scoured South Florida, meeting with band after band in their offices and watching tapes of such bands singing the standard wedding fare songs and dancing in synchronized form. None of these bands fit our image of what we were looking for and at the prices they were charging, we were very much turned off. Fortunately, our last appointment was with Dave Conley who asked to meet us at a local restaurant. He said the things that we wanted to hear and quoted us a price that was remarkably reasonable and then left us with a DVD of his music. After my fiancé and I watched the DVD, we were hooked and booked his band, "Element" almost immediately. Unlike others, we took somewhat of a risk in not getting recommendations from others before booking but felt comfortable after talking with Dave and hearing his music.

The wedding day was not without the standard concerns, including questions about how well the band would entertain. Not having seen or heard Dave's band live, we admittedly were a little nervous, particularly on the wedding day. That all changed obviously. Dave's band proved to be more than we expected. They came out with some oldies but goodies that our older crowd really enjoyed -- nothing "cheesy" just classic music. He then interspersed some more popular music before basically opening it up to specific songs that my fiancé (by this point, my wife) had requested. He pulled me on stage to sing a Stones' song with him and then pulled some of my groomsmen up (all at their request) for a personal rendition of "American Pie". The band absolutely rocked for 4 hours. The only downside was the pure exhaustion that started to hit from not leaving the dance floor and the fact that our dance floor was smaller than we would've liked (then again, we didn't expect nearly all of our guests to be on the dance floor for most of the night, so I blame the band for this one). My wife and I spent thousands of dollars on food, booze, outfits, flowers, a perfect location and, who knows what else. At the end of the night, the one compliment that we consistently received from our guests was about the band's performance and how great it was.

If you're looking for a great group of talented men and women that just so happen to be in a band together, I strongly encourage you to look no further than Dave Conley. They're not, and this is admittedly said often, the typical wedding band -- they're a good band that just so happens to play weddings. My wife and I can give no finer compliment to the band than to say that they made the wedding as immensely enjoyable and memorable as it was, both for us and our guests. So thank you, Mr. Conley.

WHAT A PARTY! My husband and I had really high hopes for a night of jubilation and dancing - we wanted all our guests - the Latin Contigent, Midwesterners, Hip Miamians, New Yorkers, Israelis, etc. (what a mix!) - to get out there and boogie to music they loved. We needed a versatile band and DJ that really understood how to play a room - you delivered and then some. My husband tells me he never imagined a Conga Line at his wedding, but it turns out that the huge one Randy created around the room was a highlight of his night!
:) Dave, you have a wonderful voice yourself, and your crew is amazing. What talent!! And not only that - you are all such great folks to be around - no egos, just energy and skills! We feel very lucky to have had such a great combo.
